The master’s degree program offers specific and highly specialized training
Twelve students from the Biomedical Research Master’s Degree program (University of Navarra) visited 3P Biopharmaceuticals this past 21st February. The master’s degree program offers specific and highly specialized training that equips candidates for the degree to face challenges in biomedical research, biotechnology and health.
Natalia Elizalde, Head of Business Development in 3P Biopharmaceuticals, welcomed the students and gave them a company presentation. After the presentation, the students visited the company’s facilities, a recently constructed 4,230 m2 manufacturing facility which is equipped with a microbial fermentation production suite with a capacity of up to 1,000 L and a mammalian cell culture system with a capacity of up to 400 L .
3P’s facilities also include a cell therapy area, a research and development area for process development, and quality control laboratories, and all of the necessary utilities required for bulk biologics manufacturing including purified water, WFI, clean stream, nitrogen and compressed air.
The Biomedical Research Master’s Degree is inter-facultative, allowing for a clearer vision of translational biomedical research. The faculties of Science, Medicine and Pharmacy, the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA) and University of Navarra Clinic are all involved in the Master’s program.
